Building Vocabulary – Let’s Sort

Working on vocabulary? Need a great sorting activity? We have just the thing. A 3D activity which engages students and targets their vocabulary goals. Let’s Sort Vocabulary needs a little preparation to set up however this can be incorporated into other language goals. For the clinic room, I recommend printing on cardboard and laminating the manipulatives for longevity. It can also be sent home as a ‘craft’ homework task. Parents love it. The resource covers four vocabulary groups – household, transport, animals and colours. Each vocabulary group consists of four ‘rooms’ as well as manipulatives to sort. I have also included a flat board to providing an alternative to the 3D rooms. All boards contain a colour and a black and white option (colour vocabulary set is in colour only).
