Description
I love incorporating as much play as possible into all of my therapy. Play is fun; whats not to like. So I am always on the outlook for ways to tightly incorporate our goals into play. Play mats are great. They provide great flexibility for the range of. children we see, as well as being targeted for the vocabulary or concept we are targeting. I like to keep my boards and cards in a folder so that they are easily accessible in the clinic. I have provided ideas on the cards, however, these can be expanded or supported depending on the language levels of your clients.
If using playdough, print off the BLANKS QUESTIONS playdough page and incorporate the level questions into therapy. I have provided some blank cards so that you can modify and adapt the boards to meet your needs. The Play boards are great as a base for play. My play items include Lego, small figurines, and miniatures. They provide a great opportunity for imaginative play. Sometimes we will make a spaceship or dinosaur from paper or craft supplies.
When using play boards I often find myself targeting basic concepts, short story scripts or narratives. But really the options are endless.
Resource contains. 8 playdough boards and 6 task cards for each board. 7 play mats
