Let’s go shopping helps structure homework for Articulation. I always try to find ways to fit articulation practice into family routines. Shopping is a routine that every family participates in. Children are sometimes captured in the shopping trolley and are face to face with their parent – the perfect place for practice. The resource contains ‘shopping lists’ for h, b, p, m, t, d, k, g, f, s, sh, l, ch, dz, l blends, s blends and r blends.

The pages contain words with the sounds in initial, medial and final positions which enables consolidation for positions already achieved and introduces a new sound position, as well as the target position.

The shopping list is focused on word level activities but I have included suggestions to incorporate phrases and sentences. So, let’s practice speech while shopping.
